I've done a lot of research on what people are charging, and thought a lot about what I want to charge. I've seen outrageous prices such as $100 an hour...and I've seen the more reasonable $1.50 a page.
But because I want to do this on the side, and because I'm just starting out, I don't want to charge that much.
So, here you go:
Page by page: $0.90 per page until 200 pages. Every page after that is $0.80.
There's a $10 minimum fee. I recommend sending in the first 11 pages of whatever project you're working on to get the most for your money, but if you only have 3 pages, you'll still have to pay $10.
Full manuscript: Same rates as above, but with a 15% discount!
If your manuscript is 300 pages (Times, size 12, double-spaced), you'd pay $180 + $80 ($260) with a 15% discount...which totals at around $220.
When you contact me to place your order, I'll need you to specify what kind of proofreading you want done. I have three different categories for you to choose from:
- Line editing. This puts the focus on grammar and pacing and flow. This is typical for page-by-page and anything less than 50 pages.
- Brainstorming. This puts focus on specific questions you have about your manuscript and plot holes you need to work out. I would also edit plot and structure, even as I answer your specific questions throughout.
- Linestorming. Yeah, you read that right. Need a little bit of both? I gotcha.

I don't read erotica. Anything NSFW will not be accepted.
I'm okay with basically anything else. I don't mind content as a whole. But 50 Shades type stuff? I'm out. ALSO. I reserve the right to back out of a project at any time. If I become uncomfortable with the project, I will refund you half of what you paid and stop.
I will proofread school papers (I have experience tutoring all ages) and articles for websites, as well as blog posts. If there's something you have that I haven't named specifically or it's unusual, hit me with it. I totally want to hear about all the different things!
